Updated Parade Info
Updates on Elizabethton Christmas Parade as of 11/26/24. Please note, the parade route has been changed! Any other updates will be pushed out through BAND app.
Date of Parade: Saturday, December 14
Dress: Formal uniform (this year’s band t-shirt, bibbers, band jacket, tall solid black socks, black marching gloves, black band shoes)
Starting Location: Students should be at the EHS Flag Pole Parking Lot in full uniform by 5:30 PM. Parents must drop off at EHS student parking for participants to walk on the sidewalk to the flagpole parking lot as a portion of Bemberg Road will be closed. It is important that students are on time. Because of the anticipated large crowd, walking distance to the flagpole lot, and heavy traffic, it would be wise to leave home earlier than usual.
Parade Route: EHS (Bemberg Road) onto G Street.
Ending Location: The band will continue straight past Roan Street. Our stopping point will be First Baptist Church parking. All parents should meet their child at the First Baptist Church parking lot or have a nearby designated meeting place. The parade will still be in progress, so it is important to have a designated meeting place!
Guidelines for the parade:
Students must take ALL INSTRUMENTS home on Friday, Dec. 13.
If students are not in full uniform, they will not march
Please be on time!
Several streets around the lineup area may be blocked off. Parents may have to drop their children a block or so from the line up area.
If it rains or is extremely cold, we may not march. Changes will be communicated through the BAND app.
Please wear your band T-shirt under your jacket. Students may wear long sleeves under their band t-shirt if the weather is cold.
Percussion and sousaphones need to bring instruments back to school on Monday.
